Our farm

Calisto Herbals is a farm-to-bottle herbal company. We grow medicinal plants — tulsi, lemongrass, ashwagandha, brahmi, neem and more — on our own land, and turn them into oils, powders and personal-care products in our own unit.

How a bottle of tulsi oil is made

1. Grow. Tulsi is raised from seed in nursery beds and transplanted to the field, with organic manure and no synthetic pesticides.
2. Harvest. Leaves and flowering tops are hand-cut in the morning when oil content is highest.
3. Extract. Fresh leaves are steam-distilled the same day. The oil separates from the water and is collected.
4. Filter & test. Each batch is filtered, rested and checked for aroma, colour and clarity.
5. Bottle & label. Oil is filled into amber glass bottles to protect it from light, sealed, and labelled with batch number, manufacturing date, expiry and MRP.
